Oivakartta places food safety inspection grades from the Oiva system on a map, next to the restaurants and grocery stores near you, so the inspection result is visible before you choose. It runs in the browser with nothing to install. It is an independent app, not an official service of the Finnish Food Authority.

What to eat this week is a question that comes back every week. In Suppertime, the family proposes meals, votes on them, and locks in the week's list on iPhone and iPad. The data stays in the family's own iCloud.

Toilet Map shows the nearest public toilet and the walking distance to it the moment the app opens. There is no search, no account, and no ads. The app works in 25 languages.

Insulin Buddy

Insulin Buddy is a free aid that illustrates mealtime insulin dosing for children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes. Active insulin is calculated with an exponential model. The app is meant for illustration, not as a medical device.

Kotityöt

Kotityöt (Chores) lays out the family's household chores in a weekly grid. A finished chore is checked off with one tap and earns stars toward rewards the family agrees on. The app runs on the family's own server without user accounts.

Our apps are designed from these principles. Most of them follow all four.

Your data stays with you
Data is stored on your device or in the family's own storage, such as the family's iCloud or a designated cloud server.

No analytics, tracking, or ads
The app does not measure how you use it and shows no ads.

Works offline
Processing happens on the device, so the app responds at once and works even when there is no connection.

One job, no account unless needed
Each app is built for one job, and an account is created only if the app cannot work without one.
How we make apps
The starting point is one everyday situation, not a feature list. An app is designed around what the user does in the first seconds: Toilet Map shows the answer the moment it opens, and Kotityöt checks off a chore with one tap.
Depending on how the app works, data is stored on the device, in the family's own iCloud, or on a cloud server set up for the family. A server is used only when the job requires one.
Some of the apps are iPhone and iPad apps; others run in the browser with nothing to install. The choice follows the situation the app is used in, not habit.
